PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in a heat storage device in which a phase-change heat storage material is preserved in a supercooled state, and nucleated when necessary to generate and utilize heat of solidification, that it is necessary to circulate a heat medium cooled to have a temperature lower than a spontaneous solidification starting temperature of the heat storage material by a cooling device to release a supercooled state, which causes complication and increase in costs of equipment, lowering of heat collecting amount and shortage of circulation flow rate of the heat medium. SOLUTION: A substance having a solidification starting temperature higher than a minimum temperature of the operation of a pipe conduit and heat-utilizing equipment is applied as a heat storage material. Further two-way valves are respectively disposed on heat medium pipe conduits from a heating source to a heat storage portion and a nucleating portion of the heat storage device, and their closing motions of a short time are alternately arbitrarily repeated. Thus the solidification of the heat storage material during supercooling can be started only by circulating the heat medium between the nucleating portion and the pipe conduit or the heat utilizing equipment. Further the heat storage portion and the nucleating portion are connected in parallel, and heat can be properly supplied thereto with heat medium flow rates respectively suitable therefor.
