PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductivity development method and a conductive member capable of safely and speedily obtaining high conductivity, or more precisely, without the need of a conventionally needed sintering process, in a method of developing productivity with the use of metal ultrafine particles mainly made of silver. SOLUTION: The method of granting metal ultrafine particles mainly made of silver dispersed in water and/or an organic solvent as metal colloid on a substrate and developing conductivity at the metal ultrafine particle containing part provided is to treat the metal ultrafine particle containing part in an aqueous solution of 60°C or more containing dicarboxylic acid with the carbon number of 3 or more.
