摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autonomous traveling device which accurately changes its direction, and travels throughout all of traveling regions, by reducing occurrence of an unpassed region. SOLUTION: The device includes: a device body 1, an obstacle detection means 2 for detecting presence or absence of or the distance to an obstacle; a direction detection means 3 for detecting a traveling direction of the device body 1; a traveling means 7 for making the device body 1 move and travel; and a control means 5 for controlling the traveling means 7 according to the output from the means. The control means 5 has a mode for correcting the output from the direction detection means 3. This enables correction of the output from the direction detection means 3 using an object such as a wall in the traveling regions when the device body 1 operates, and enables the accurate direction change, reducing the occurrence of an unpassed region and traveling throughout all of the traveling regions.
