PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device having a small frame area in regard to the display device having a non-rectangular image display area. SOLUTION: The display device comprises: a plurality of pixels arranged in an orthogonal matrix form; a plurality of scanning lines connected to the plurality of pixels; a plurality of signal lines which are connected to the plurality of pixels and are arranged in an orthogonal matrix form with the plurality of scanning lines; a pixel display area which is constituted with the plurality of pixels and has acute angles on the contour; built-in circuits for scanning line which drive the plurality of scanning lines and are formed along the contour of an image display area; and built-in circuits for signal lines which drive the plurality of signal lines and are formed along the contour of the pixel display area, wherein the built-in circuits for scanning lines and the built-in circuits for signal line are arranged by making the contact point at an acute angle the starting end among contact points coming into contact with different edges between the contour of the pixel display area and an arbitrary rectangle which circumscribes the contour of the pixel display area so as to make the acute angle one vertex.
