PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for continuous casting by which a high quality cast billet can be produced for a long period of time by preventing the deterioration of electrical insulation of the mold when the continuous casting is performed by imparting electromagnetic power. SOLUTION: The mold, by which the continuous casting is performed by applying the electromagnetic power generated with an electromagnetic coil installed in the outer side of the mold to molten metal in the mold, is provided with: a dividing insulated structure (electric insulating material 6) for disturbing the induction current circulating the mold; and a pressurizing mechanism for holding the pressure at a back plate 3 side at higher than that at the operating surface side on back and front sides of the dividing insulated structure, thereby preventing foreign matters from entering into the dividing insulated part.
