PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency simple fresh water producing device which can produce drinking water even upon emergency lacking in electricity and fuel, and is compact so as to be stored even into a life boat and a refuge emergency refuge set. SOLUTION: The emergency simple fresh water producing device comprises: a thermoelectric element 1; a power supply means which supplies electric power to the thermoelectric element, such as a solar cell, a general purpose generator and a battery; a heat sink 3 attached to the warming side of the thermoelectric element; a heat-absorbing plate 4 attached to the cooling side of the thermoelectric element; and a passage for air including warmed and vaporized moisture, the passage connecting the warming side to the cooling side of the thermoelectric element.
