PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst element capable of maintaining the function of a photocatalyst for a long period of time and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The photocatalyst element constituted by forming a metal oxide layer exhibiting photocatalyst on a substrate is characterized by that at least a fine particle containing silver oxide, a titanium oxide layer and a silver layer are laminated in order from the uppermost surface layer.
