A restriction mechanism for a card is provided. The card includes at least one electronic component mounted thereon. The restriction mechanism includes a substrate, a slot, a latch, and a restriction member. The slot allows the card to be inserted in the slot. The latch is pivotally connected to one side of the slot. The latch is rotatable between a first position in which the card is locked in the slot by the latch, and a second position in which the card is allowed to disengage from the slot. The restriction member is used to prevent the latch from being rotated to the second position.
