PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for manufacturing a three-dimensional shaped object excellent in mechanical strengths in a short time and at a low cost, and to provide a manufacturing method using the material. SOLUTION: (1): The material for three-dimensional shaping consists of (A) a binder and (B) a powdered material, wherein the binder contains a polymer having side chains that have two or more organic acid residues and/or organic acid salt residues and the powdered material has (i) a polymer having cationic residues and/or groups inducible to cationic residues on the side chains or (ii) a powder containing an alkaline earth metal ion. (2): Alternatively, it consists of (A) a binder and (B) a powdered material, wherein the powdered material contains a polymer having side chains that have two or more organic acid residues and/or organic acid salt residues and the binder contains a polymer having cationic residues and/or groups inducible to cationic residues on the side chains.
