PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit of an air conditioner comprising a packing capable of suppressing aged deterioration over the use for a long time, surely preventing water leakage by early recovering the cross-sectional shape of original shape, and improving reliability. SOLUTION: A heat exchanger 6 is disposed inside of an indoor unit body 1 as a housing, a drain pan 7 for receiving the drainage produced in the heat exchanger is disposed at a lower portion of the heat exchanger, a drain pump 10 is disposed to pump up the drainage collected and accumulated in the drain pan and discharge the same to the external, a drain port 8 formed at a bottom surface wall region of the drain pan for discharging the drainage remaining in the drain pan is openably and closably closed by a drain cap 18, and the packing 20 having the roughly X-shaped cross section is fitted between the drain cap and the bottom surface wall of the drain pan to prevent the leakage of the drainage from between the drain port and the drain cap.
