PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information board extraction device and an information board extraction method for automatically extracting an information board existing within an influential range to be influenced by an event from among a plurality of information boards when an event such as an accident occurs. SOLUTION: This information board extraction device is provided with: an influential range calculation part 8 for calculating an influential range to be influenced by an event based on costs showing easiness of a vehicle reaching an event registration position where an event such as an accident has occurred; and an information board extraction processing part 9 for extracting the information board existing within the influential range calculated by the influential range calculation part 8 from among the plurality of information boards. Thus, it is possible to automatically extract the information board existing within the influential range. Therefore, it is possible to further improve operability as compared with a conventional traffic control system in which an operator used to manually extract each information board, and to more quickly display the relevant information board.
