PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device capable of realizing more accurate time searching. SOLUTION: In the DVD player (optical disk device) 10 provided with a time searching function for playing from designated time, when the designated time of time searching is input, a system microcomputer 18 calculates VOBU containing the designated time by using VTS_TMAPT, starts playing in the device 10 from the head of the VOBU containing the designated time, and performs control so as to start outputting of a video/voice from when a reproduced frame matches a frame corresponding to the designated time.
