PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door checking device capable of being easily assembled. SOLUTION: This door checking device has a casing 60 composed of a casing body 63 and a cap 65, a shaft 69, a flap 67 provided on a peripheral face of the shaft 69 to divide the inside of the casing 60 into a first chamber and a second chamber, a packing 71 having a sealing part pressed against and coming into contact with an inner peripheral face of the casing body 63, and a valve means shutting-off/allowing flow of liquid between the first and second chambers. An assembly composed of the shaft 69 and the flap 67 to which the packing 71 is attached is inserted through an opened face of the casing body 63. A recessed part 101 extended toward a bottom part from the opened face and fitting the sealing part of the packing 71 when inserting the assembly through the opened face of the casing body 63 is formed on the inner peripheral face of the casing body 63.
