#CMT# #/CMT# The system (ALS) has an overriding drive (UEG) controlled by an electrical motor (EM) e.g. brushless direct current motor, and a brake device (BV), where an additional steering angle is added to a steering angle adjusted via a steering wheel (LG). The brake device has an electrical short-circuit (KS) for electrical motor for producing the brake effect, a mechanical brake and an interlocking device (MBV) for a rotor of the electrical motor. A control device is connected to a sensor to monitors a number of revolutions of the rotor. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Active steering system for a vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The active steering system provides a wear-free braking action and safe blocking effect. The brake device is made compact as a number of revolutions is reduced by the brake. The brake stream can be automatically produced by the electrical motor.
