<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device that transmits and receives data associated with a lecture only when an attendance is using the device and enables external equipment connected to the outside to display lecture material and output a voice of lecturer's utterance. <P>SOLUTION: This communication device 1 can be powered off by a control unit 11 in a period that the attendance does not use the communication device 1, i.e. while the attendance is viewing the lecture material or listening to the lecturer's utterance, thereby reducing power consumption. Further, the control unit 11 determines whether a connected video display device 4 has been installed with predetermined software and transmits video data corresponding to the determination result to the video display device 4, so that the video display device 4 can display the lecture material on a monitor etc., without additionally storing any special driver nor software in the video display device 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
