PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system that enables a user to effectively recognize the contents of a domain to be displayed, even when the domain to be displayed of map data is shifted. SOLUTION: Th navigation system 100 includes a positioning part 2 for acquiring own vehicle position information, a storage part 3 for storing the map data, a display control means 11 for displaying map data read out from the storage part 3 together with the own vehicle position information acquired by the positioning part 2 on a display screen, and an input part 4 for receiving shifting operation of the domain to be displayed of the map data to be displayed on the display screen. The navigation system 100 also includes a road estimation means 13 for estimating a road having a high possibility of traveling of own vehicle, and an enhancing means 14 for enhancing a road estimated by the road estimation means 13.
