PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device by which the durability and reliability of wet wiping can be enhanced. SOLUTION: The deterioration of a face surface caused by wiping is suppressed to the minimum by carrying out wet wiping in a state that a remaining quantity of a wet wiping solution (for example glycerin) is sufficient that is in the case of being capable of sufficiently securing the transferring quantity of the wet wiping solution, and an effect similar to the wet wiping is exhibited by wetting the face surface by carrying out spare discharging when the wet wiping solution is depleted.
