PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric double layer capacitor, wherein the impregnation processing time of an electrolyte can be shortened. SOLUTION: The time to completely impregnate an electrode 11 with the electrolyte can be shortened even when it is difficult to impregnate the electrode with the electrolyte from a separator 12 since the area of contact between the electrode 11 and electrolyte becomes large by shaping a cutting path 19 cutting the electrode 11 so that the cutting path has a plurality of inflection points and making the length of the cutting path 19 longer than the distance obtained by connecting cutting start points of the cutting line 19 at two places positioned at ends of the electrode 11 with a straight line.
