PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breather device that reduces a cost required for insulation in a rotating electrical machine and suppress a foreign matter entering a case body. SOLUTION: The breather device includes: the case body 200 that forms an internal space 15 and houses a motor generator in the internal space 15; and an intake valve 21 provided in the case body 200. When the pressure in the internal space 15 becomes equal to or lower than pressure Pa, the intake valve 21 breathes through the internal space 15 and the external space 16.
