PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform reliable evaluations of the performance of a rolling bearing which supports an axle. SOLUTION: A pulley 15 for transmitting a rotational driving force from a drive motor 14 is fixed on an axle 13 supported rotatably by a support bearing 12 on a base stand 11. This axle 13 is provided with: a bearing box 17 for storing a test bearing 16 engaged with both ends of the axle; and a test container 18 for covering this bearing box 17. The test bearing 16 is applied with a radial load and an axial load by hydraulic cylinders 21, 22, and the temperature inside the test container 18 is adjusted to a predetermined temperature corresponding to the operating temperature environment of the test bearing 16 by an environmental temperature control unit 19. This enables evaluating the performance of the test bearing 16 under the temperature environment in which a real vehicle is used, and thereby improving reliability of the performance evaluations on the test bearing 16.
