PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an image from being interrupted in a display 28 even when the transmission of video signals is interrupted because a change in a transmission path requires verification in a system 1 provided with a transmitter 10 for authenticating the transmission paths of video signals and transmitting the video signals to an authenticated transmission path, and a reception/relay device 20 configured so as to receive video signals from the transmitter 10, display the images represented by the received video signals on the display 28 and relay the video signals to a receiver 30 of a post-stage. SOLUTION: The reception/relay device 20 allows a cache memory 22a to store video signals used to enable the display of images for a longer time period than a time required for authentication, among the received video signals.
