The method of forming a high-definition image comprises: a step (211) of receiving successive images of a scene; a step (212, 213) of determining displacement, in successive images, of at least one object present in said scene; and a step (225) of combining images provided successively by said sensor, so as to form an image of a higher definition than that of the matrix image sensor, as a function of said displacement. In some embodiments, the step of determining displacement comprises a step of detecting sub-pixellic contours and determines the displacements as the distances travelled by the contours between the successive images. In some embodiments, the combining step implements an iterative back-projection algorithm. |
