<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism by which points can reliably be transferred between users without notifying the other party of information capable of specifying an individual in a point management system. <P>SOLUTION: A user A logs in a system by operating a terminal 50a, and sets the answer of confirmation items necessary for receiving points, and applies to a server 10 for the transmission of point transmission mail to a mail address available by a user B by using a terminal 50b. In this case, the server 10 generates mail in which URL for confirmation is described, and transmits it to the mail address destination. At the same time, the user B requests a point reception page specified from the URL for confirmation described in the received mail to the server 10 by operating the terminal 50b, and answers the confirmation items set by the user A after passing member authentication, and applies to the server 10 for the reception of points.
