<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge controller that allows efficient consumption of energy stored in a capacitor. <P>SOLUTION: The discharge controller for a storage battery controls a discharge path connected from a plurality of storage cells connected in series inside the storage battery to a rotary inductive load. The discharge controller includes cell voltage detection units for detecting respective cell voltages of the plurality of storage cells, a switch group constituted from a plurality of switches each connected between the plurality of storage cells, and a control unit for individually performing ON/OFF control on the respective switches in the switch group in response to detection results by the cell voltage detection units so as to form the discharge path from a desired storage cell to the rotary inductive load. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
