PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroluminescent compound having a ligand-metal complex skeleton exhibiting remarkably excellent electroluminescent and physical characteristics relative to a prior art organic base material by overcoming problems associated with prior art techniques, and an electroluminescent device comprising thus prepared electroluminescent compound as its base material.

SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an electroluminescent compound represented by chemical formula (1): L1L1M(Q)m, and an electroluminescent device comprising the same as its base material. The electroluminescent compound, if employed in an organic electroluminescent device (OLED) as its base material, remarkably reduces its operating voltage and improves its power efficiency.
