<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary transformer having such a constitution in which coil lead wires are fitted in a slit in a region where a ferrite core is formed without thinning any ferrite core in the slit. <P>SOLUTION: The rotary transformer is equipped with: a stationary side ferrite core 21b; a rotary side ferrite core 21a which is arranged so as to face the stationary side ferrite core 21b and formed to be rotatable to the stationary side ferrite core 21b; coil distribution grooves 22a, 22b which are formed in shapes of concentric circles on disc surfaces at facing sides of the respective ferrite cores; coils 25a, 25b which are arranged in the coil arrangement grooves 22a, 22b; and a slit 23 which is formed more deeply than the coil arrangement grooves 22a, 22b in the radial direction of the ferrite core, wherein coil lead wires 26 extended from the coils 25a, 25b are pulled out through the slit 23. One side of the ferrite core has a lead pulling-out portion 24a formed in a projecting state from peripheral surfaces of the ferrite core.
