PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle model discriminating device for more accurately discriminating a vehicle model of a vehicle. SOLUTION: This vehicle model discriminating device 1 for discriminating the vehicle model of the vehicle 10 has: a camera 11 and a laser radar 12 for imaging the vehicle 10; a projected plane estimation part 13 for setting a projected plane PA when the vehicle 10 is imaged from a direction different from an imaging direction of the camera 11 and the laser radar 12; an image conversion part 14 for projecting the picked up image imaged by the camera 11 and the laser radar 12 onto the projected plane PA set by the projected plane estimation part 13, and converting the picked up image; an image accumulation part 15 for accumulating a plurality of frames converted by the image conversion part 14; and a silhouette extraction part 16 for detecting a silhouette of the vehicle 10 based on the plurality of frames accumulated by the image accumulation part 15 to discriminate the vehicle model.
