POLYCHLOROPRENE LATEX COMPOSITION AND AQUEOUS ADHESIVE USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polychloroprene latex composition capable of providing sufficient strength of initial bonding in even a wet state immediately after application and excellent strength of adhesive bonding at high temperatures and to provide an aqueous adhesive using it. SOLUTION: This aqueous adhesive capable of providing sufficient strength of initial bonding in even the wet state and excellent heat resisting strength is produced by using the polychloroprene latex composition prepared by mixing two kinds of polychloroprene latexes including (A) mercaptan-modified or xanthogen-modified polychloroprene latex emulsion polymerized at 20°C or less and (B) sulfur-modified polychloroprene latex emulsion polymerized in the presence of sulfur.
