PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion type static eliminator capable of washing stuck substances by using a liquid such as tap water since the ion type static eliminator employing a high voltage attracts dust in the surrounding environment due to a high voltage, resulting in dirt and contamination by the attracted dust according to use thereof. SOLUTION: The ion type static eliminator is equipped with a discharge needle 21 for forming ions. A discharge electrode support body 11 having the discharge needle 21 constituting a discharge electrode 19 is covered with insulating materials 12, 13 made of synthetic resin, leaving only a part of the discharge needle 21 including the tip.
