摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector, preventing the occurrence of a problem wherein a fitting pin cannot be put in a pin hole in positioning. SOLUTION: In this optical connector 1, as a means for positioning to a counterpart optical part, the one fitting pin 15 having a circular section and a projecting part 16 formed between cutouts 16a on both sides in the width direction of the connection are provided on both sides of a light entering and outgoing part 17 of the optical connector body 5. In the case of installing the optical connector 1 in a photoelectric hybrid substrate loaded with an optical element, for example, the circular-section fitting pin 15 is fitted to a circular hole provided in the substrate, and the projecting part 16 having a vertical wall surface is fitted to a groove part of the vertical wall surface provided on the substrate to thereby position the optical element on the substrate. In the conventional structure where positioning is performed by fitting of the fitting pin to the pin hole in two portions, when the pitch accuracy between the two pin holes is low, the problem occurs, wherein the fitting pin cannot enter the counterpart pin hole. Since fitting of the fitting pin to the pin hole is made in only one portion in this structure, and the projecting part is fitted to the vertical groove part on the other hand, any problem as in the above prior art does not occurs.
