PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce weight and cost when reducing noise by increasing the rigidity of a casing (10). SOLUTION: A casing (10) is formed of a cylindrical body part (11) and upper and lower side end plates (12) and (13) disposed on the upper and lower sides of the body part (11). A projected part (11b) and a recessed part (11c) are formed on the outer surface upper end side of the body part (11), a recessed part (11d) and a projected part (11e) are formed on the inner surface thereof correspondingly with the projected part (11b) and the recessed part (11c), and a waveform area (11a) is formed of these projected parts (11b) and (11e) and the recessed parts (11c) and (11d). The stator (31) of an electric motor (30) is shrink-fitted to the inner surface of the body part (11), and the cylinder (21) of a compression mechanism (20) is fixed to the lower side thereof by welding.
