PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet processing device capable of monitoring conveyance by a plurality of CPUs even when the size of the device is increased and a conveyance path becomes long. SOLUTION: In this paper sheet processing device, an M1 control CPU 10 (CPU 10) and an M2 control CPU 20 (CPU 20) are connected by a LAN 50 and compiling place information based on a detection result of a paper sheet and the like P by detection part of an M1 and ticket length information of a sensor PC 14 arranged at a rear-most position of the M1 is transferred from the CPU 10 to the CPU 20. Transfer abnormality such as ticket missing and ticket jamming and the like accompanying movement between modules is detected by comparison of the ticket length and reaching time measured by a sensor PC 21 and a sensor PC 22. As the CPU 20 of the M2 accesses a transfer monitor sensor of the M1 which is very close for an upper stream direction, even when the distance between the sensor PC 14 and the PC 21 is short, transfer monitoring by the plurality of CPUs is capable of providing the same effect as a transfer monitoring by a CPU.
