PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an escalator passenger fall preventive device for preventing fall of a passenger by supporting a body of the passenger. SOLUTION: The escalator passenger fall preventive device comprises a fixing means 3 to be fixed to a handrail 2 of an escalator only in an oblique range of the handrail, and a body supporting means 4 which is connected to the fixing means to support the body of the passenger. The fixing means comprises: a holding body having a body part placed on the handrail and a holding part provided on the body part and movable between a holding position for holding the handrail and a non-holding position separated from the handrail; an oblique detector which is provided on the holding body to detect that the holding body is placed on the oblique part of the handrail; and an operation device which is provided on the body part of the holding body and operated by the oblique detector to move the holding body to the holding position. The holding body is provided with an expansion body disposed in a space between the body part and the handrail and shifted to the holding position to be pressure-contacted to the handrail during expansion and shifted to the non-holding position to release the handrail during contraction.
