PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dish washer which makes it possible to reduce operating force for drawing a washing vessel out, to improve drawing-out workability, and to allow easy drawing-out of the washing vessel in abnormal conditions such as power failure or the like. SOLUTION: The dish washer 100 includes: a dish washer body 1 having an opening in a front face; the washing vessel 2 stored inside the dish washer body 1, passed through the opening of the dish washer body 1, and supported slidably in front and rear directions; an opening device 20 for automatically sliding the washing vessel 2 in the front and rear direction; and a latch device 6 for regulating movement of the washing vessel 2 in a drawing direction by locking the washing vessel 2 and the dish washer body 1. The latch device 6 releases the locking of the washing vessel 2 and the dish washer body 1 when a predetermined force is externally applied to the washing vessel 2 in the drawing direction.
