<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-voltage discharge lamp and a high-voltage discharge lamp device, with standby power of a standby mode lowered, and capable of starting up in a short time and lighting in a high output free from fading away, in a processing mode. <P>SOLUTION: In the high-voltage discharge lamp provided with an arc tube with a pair of electrodes arranged in opposition and with mercury sealed in, and a straight-tube outer tube formed outside the arc tube, and with the above outer tube fixed at either end of the arc tube, a convex part is formed on an outer face of the arc tube or an inner face of the arc tube. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
