<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communications device and a communication method that improve the efficiency of radio communication of TCP/IP. <P>SOLUTION: The communication device comprises a radio communication unit 701 which performs radio communication using TCP/IP; a radio wave intensity detection unit 702 which detects the radio wave intensity of the radio communication of the radio communication unit 701; a communication start/stop determination unit 703 which makes the radio communication unit 701 start the radio communication when the radio wave intensity detected by the radio wave intensity detection unit 702 is larger than a start threshold, and makes the radio communication unit 701 stop the radio communication when the radio wave intensity detected by the radio wave intensity detection unit 702 is less than a stop threshold; and a window size control unit 704, which sets the window size of the radio communication of the radio communication unit 701 smaller and smaller as the radio wave intensity that the radio wave intensity detection unit 702 detects is lower and still lower. A frame collision possibility is made low, a communication rate is made high, and the number of packets transmitted unnecessarily during movement from the inside to the outside of a communication area, is reduced, and efficient radio communication is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
