<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymerizable compound-containing liquid crystal (LC) medium, particularly for use in PS (polymer stabilized) or PSA (polymer stabilized alignment) type LC displays, and a PS(A) display equipped with the LC medium. <P>SOLUTION: The LC medium comprises≥1 kinds of polymerizable compounds all of which in the liquid crystal (LC) medium exclusively contain methacrylate groups as the polymerizable group,≥1 kinds of low molecular weight mesogens including≥1 kinds of alkenyl groups stable against a polymerization reaction under a condition used for polymerizing the methacrylate group, or a liquid crystal compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
