PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more speedily and securely perform automatic focusing control. SOLUTION: Based on an each difference between the maximum value and minimum value of each of the components of R, G, and B obtained from an imaged image, an accuracy calculating section 30 obtains the accuracy of the evaluation of automatic focus control of a contrast system and the accuracy of the evaluation of automatic focus control of a chromatic aberration system. The determination processing section 33 compares the accuracy of the contrast system and the accuracy of the chromatic aberration, calculated by the accuracy calculating section 30. Based on the comparison result, the automatic focusing control is performed in the contrast system or chromatic aberration system, thus moving the lens 21 to its focusing position.
