PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide height adjustment mechanism for manually adjusting the height of a holder or the like. SOLUTION: This slide height adjustment mechanism 50 includes upper and lower shafts 60 and 70 disposed in one axial direction and used for adjusting the height of the lower shaft 70 relative to the upper shaft 60. This mechanism 50 includes a pair of clamps 51 and 52 for firmly fastening the lower and upper shafts 70 and 60. A radially-protrusive annular wedge part 73 is formed on at least one of the upper and lower shafts 60 and 70. An annular recessed part 54 to be pressed against the wedge part 73 is formed in each of the clamps 51 and 52.
