PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF POLYPHENYLENE SULFIDE RESIN
摘要
A process for the production of polyphenylene sulfide resin, characterized by subjecting a polyphenylene sulfide resin to acid treatment and thermal oxidation successively to produce a polyphenylene sulfide resin having the following properties: (1) the quantity of gas vaporizing in heat-melting the resin under vacuum at 320°C for 2 hours is 0.3wt% or below, (2) the ash content is 0.3wt% or below as determined by ashing the resin at 550°C, (3) the residue is 4.0wt% or below as determined by dissolving the resin in 20 times as much 1-chloronaphthalene by weight at 250°C for 5 minutes and then subjecting the resulting solution to pressure filtration under heating with a PTFE membrane filter having a pore size of 1µm, and (4) the melt flow rate (as determined according to ASTM D-1238-70 at 315.5°C under a load of 5000g) exceeds 500g/10min.
