NOVEL EPOXY CARBOXYLATE COMPOUND, ITS DERIVATIVE, ACTIVE ENERGY RAY-CURABLE RESIN COMPOSITION CONTAINING IT AND CURED PRODUCT THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition that is cured by an active energy ray or the like such as an ultraviolet ray or the like and is capable of producing a tough film or a molding material.

SOLUTION: An epoxy carboxylate compound produced by reacting an epoxy resin containing a polycyclic hydrocarbon group having a specific structure with a compound having both a polymerizable unsaturated group and a carboxyl group in a molecule and a compound having both a hydroxyl group and a carboxyl group in a molecule is provided. A polycarboxylic acid compound being an acid modified product of the epoxy carboxylate compound is provided. An active energy ray-curable resin composition containing the epoxy carboxylate compound and the acid modified product thereof is provided. A cured product of the active energy ray-curable resin composition is provided. The cured product has not only high reliability and toughness but also good pigment dispersibility.
