<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively discharge heat generated inside a developing device to the outside with comparatively simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device 21 installed in an image forming device such as a printer includes a case body 21b which accommodates a toner as a developer. A stirring screw for stirring and conveying the toner is set inside the case body 21b. A lot of heat-releasing ribs 21c, which extend in the stirring screw rotating direction, are formed on the upper and side surfaces of the case body 21b to ensure a heat-releasing area. When air is blown from the side of the developing device 21, the air flow is guided by the heat-releasing ribs 21c to circulate from the side surface of the case body 21b to the under surface thereof.
