<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that production of a multi-valent vaccine is required. <P>SOLUTION: A multi-valent immunogenic composition for imparting protection against diseases caused by Bordetella pertussis, Clostridium tetani, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, Hepatitis B virus, poliovirus or Neisseria meningitidis to a host, is provided, which composition comprises (a) either killed whole-cell Bordetella pertussis (Pw), or two or more acellular pertussis components (Pa) (preferably the latter), (b) tetanus toxoid (TT or T), (c) diphtheria toxoid (DT or D), (d) Hepatitis B surface antigen (HepB or HB), (e) inactivated poliovirus (IPV), (f) one or both conjugates of a carrier protein and a capsular polysaccharide of bacterium selected from the group consisting of Neisseria meningitidis Y and Neisseria meningitidis C (MenY and MenC), and (g) optionally a conjugate of a carrier protein and the capsular polysaccharide of Haemophilus influenzae B (Hib). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
