PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine in which the insider diameter accuracy of a stator is ensured, and to provide a manufacturing method of rotary electric machine, capable of ensuring the inside diameter accuracy of the stator. SOLUTION: The rotary electric machine includes a rotor provided so as to be rotatable; an annular stator, equipped with a stator core disposed so as to opposite to the rotor and a coil wound around the stator core; a plurality of unit cores disposed in the circumferential direction of the stator; and core coupling portions 150, 151 for connecting the unit cores adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction of the stator. The stator core includes first and second connection portions for connecting the unit core 142 to one another, disposed in one direction. The stator core is formed, by annularly bending a stacked body formed by stacking a plurality of steel plates, and second unit connection portions are stacked to form the core coupling portion 150.
