PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a spatial multiplex transmission method such as MIMO with high quality even in mobile communication. SOLUTION: An error correction code is also transmitted by radio, and at the receive side, the transfer characteristic of transmission path which has been acquired based on known pilot data and received data is used as primitive characteristics. Then, the transfer characteristic is sequentially updated at the update timing of the transfer characteristic so that first decoded data are obtained by decoding based on the transfer characteristic and the received data. The first decoded data are subjected to correction decoding using an error correction code, and second decoded data are acquired. Based on the receive data and the second decoded data, a correction transfer characteristic at the receive time of the receive data is calculated. Based on the correction transfer characteristic and the receive data, third decoded data are calculated. The third decoded data are used as the first decoded data, the second decoded data are acquired by correction decoding.
