PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pilot gas burner capable of sufficiently supplying the secondary air to main flame and keeping good combustion performance. SOLUTION: This pilot gas burner 1 is composed of a burner body 2 and a burner port cover 3 placed on a top portion of the burner body 2, the burner port cover 3 has a top plate 8 kept into contact with an opening 6 of the burner body 2, and a pair of outer plates 9, 9 hung down from both right and left edge of the top plate 8 and spot-welded to right and left side plates of the burner body 2, and pairs of right and left slits 10, 10 opened to right and left both ends in the minor direction are longitudinally formed on the top plate 8 at prescribed intervals, and partitioned by right and left side plates of the burner body 2 into pairs of main burner ports 11, 11 opened at the center of the top plate 8 and pairs of pilot burner ports 12, 12 opened at both outer sides of the side plates on the top plate 8, so that the pilot burner ports 12 are intermittently formed.
