PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch device capable of improving accuracy of detecting the displacement of an operating part. SOLUTION: The switch device SW includes a case 1, an operating part 2 movably mounted to the case 1, and a detection block BK for detecting the displacement of the operating part 2 housed in the case 1 from its regular position with respect to the case 1. The detection block BK includes: an actuator 3 which moves in a prescribed direction in accordance with the displacement of the operating part 2; a detecting part 4 having a detection coil; a part 5 to be detected, which is mounted to the actuator 3 and whose distance from the detection coil changes with the movement of the actuator 3; and a signal conversion part 6 which outputs a current having a prescribed frequency and a prescribed amplitude to the detection coil to convert a voltage signal determined by the current and the impedance of the detection coil to an electric signal showing the displacement of the operating part 2.
