PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device which saves time and effort during EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) inspection by easily creating a disk in which data are recorded from a head track to a predetermined track. SOLUTION: A control section displays a message to prompt a user to input a track number of a predetermined track in a display section. The control section controls a PU head 12 to record dummy data from a head track 101 to the predetermined track 102 having the input track number. As a result, an optical disk 100 in which dummy data are recorded from the head track 101 to the predetermined track 102 is completed. Consequently time and effort during EMC inspection can be saved. Then when an EMC examiner instructs recording of data, the control section 11 records the data on the optical disk 100 following the dummy data, specifically, from a position prior to a specific track 103, by using the PU head 12.
