PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transverse electric field type liquid crystal display element excellent in electrostatic leakage characteristics. SOLUTION: In the transverse electric field type liquid crystal display element formed of an imidized polymer having an amic acid repeating unit and an imide repeating unit, at least 20 mol% of groups derived from diamine of the repeating unit are derived from diamine represented by the following formula I-3.
