PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary power tool which facilitates switching of its operation between cutting and grinding, and to provide a tip tool for the rotary power tool. SOLUTION: The tip tool 1 includes a cutting section 4 and a grinding section 7, and when the tip tool is rotated at a predetermined rotational speed or at a rotational speed in a predetermined range, one of the cutting section 4 and the grinding section 7 is relatively protruded from the other in a radially external direction. On the other hand, when the tip tool is rotated at a rotational speed larger than the predetermined rotational speed, the other section is relatively protruded from the one section due to centrifugal force.
